I’m a passionate advocate for family caregivers.
As a Certified Senior Advisor, and the owner of Beyond Home Care, I have worked with countless families to help them navigate the journey of aging.
Over the years I have learned there are many ways to age but the key to aging well starts with planning.
This stage in life does not have to be overwhelming and stressful! But as the saying goes..."you don't know, what you don't know!"
That's where I come in! I'm here to provide the resources, tools, and support you and your loved one needs, to not just survive this stage of life, but to thrive!
MY STORY
I grew up around the elderly and found a love for our aging population as a young child through my aunt Patty.
Patty worked in an Alzheimer’s unit at a local nursing home and I would volunteer my time with the residents making crafts, playing games, or painting nails. The summer before I started high school Patty started working at an adult day center, and I spent the entire summer working at the center with her. We played bingo, went on field trips, exercised with the residents…I have wonderful memories of that summer volunteering at the day center.
In early 2000 Patty started an in-home care agency for the elderly and disabled in Birmingham, AL, Kelly worked for the business as a Caregiver during college as well as working in the marketing and staffing departments.
In 2014 we lost my aunt Patty at the age of 49. Beyond Home Care is an extension of Patty’s legacy. She loved working with those who needed her most and I think she would be proud of what we have created in Alex City.
Since opening Beyond Home Care in 2017, we have continued to answer the needs of our seniors, their families, and now, home care agencies across the country who want to make a profound impact in their own communities.
